Don E. Chandler


Don E. Chandler graduated from the University of Georgia with a Masters Degree in Economics with a major field of research in Real Estate Feasibility Analysis. While completing his graduate studies, Mr. Chandler was inducted into the International Honorary Society of Economics.

In 1981, Mr. Chandler joined the real estate development firm of Ackerman and Company where he served as a broker for office and industrial properties. While employed with Ackerman and Company, Mr. Chandler represented companies like I.B.M., Burroughs Computers and Mizuno. Also during this time, Mr. Chandler completed his first public sector transaction with by successfully negotiating the lease for the Social Security Services Facility in Marietta, Georgia.

In 1992, Mr. Chandler formed Municipal Development Services to address the growing public sector development and financing needs in the State of Georgia. Municipal Development Services was responsible for assisting numerous Georgia counties and municipalities from 1992 to 2004.

Municipal Development Services, LLC merged with Forum Development Services in 2004. The new company continues to enjoy success developing facilities for Local and State Governments. Over the past seven years Forum MDS has succussfully completed four new facilities, and currently has three new projects in development, including the Liberty County DFCS building to be delivered in May 2012.

Mr. Chandler and his wife Elizabeth reside in Atlanta.
